More Than a Million Sparkling Lights Illuminate New Holiday Celebration at Wild Adventures Theme Park

It’s Bigger, Better, Brighter than Ever Before!

Valdosta, GA- It’s a bigger, better, brighter Christmas season this year as Wild Adventures Park unwraps it’s new Festival of Lights holiday celebration, Saturday, November 15.

More than A MILLION sparkling lights welcome visitors to the theme park, creating a holiday glow families will not soon forget. Plus, there are all new holiday shows, new holiday foods, a one-of-a-kind live nativity, great gift shopping and jolly St. Nick’s favorite reindeer.

“Our new Festival of Lights celebration will be the most spectacular holiday event in the entire South Georgia and Northern Florida region – there’s nothing else like it!” said Wild Adventures’ General Manager Bob Montgomery. “Families are not going to want to miss all of the lights, decorations and fun activities awaiting them at Wild Adventures.” The park has had a holiday celebration since 1996, but this is the premier year for the expanded Festival of Lights event.

Holiday Lights, Decorations and Food Fill the Senses

Entering the park, visitors are immediately transported to a storybook-like winter wonderland as they stroll through Mistletoe Point, a magical walkway, leading the way to the seasonal magic that lies just ahead. The more than a million holiday lights stir the senses as, in the distance, holiday music – including roving period-costumed carolers and brass quintets -- can be heard, creating an enchanting atmosphere for the holiday adventure.

As guests take in the sights and sounds of the holidays they can also enjoy the scrumptious smells and tastes! Visitors can sample a mouth-watering array of holiday foods, including homemade fudge, Christmas cookies, fresh cinnamon rolls, delicious warm soups served in fresh baked bread bowls and even yummy s’mores that guests make themselves around a holiday campfire.

Shows, Shows and More Shows!

Holiday entertainment is non-stop at the Festival of Lights. Not to be missed is the amazing Lake of Lights show in the Lagoon area of the park, a spectacular giant Christmas tree and other amazing decorations with lights that blink and dance in synch with stirring holiday music.

The Festival of Lights’ Living Nativity show is unlike any in the entire region and features actors, music and live animals such as camels, sheep, goats and donkeys in a unique presentation of The Christmas Story.  Transport your family to the little town of Bethlehem where the real reason for this joyous season is revealed.

Hey, isn’t that Rudolph? Sure is! In Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer’s Corral, the world’s most famous reindeer – along with his live reindeer companions Dasher, Dancer, Prancer and Vixen – share in the Christmas joy with stories that are fun for visitors of all ages.  Guests walk through a wonderland corral, reading holiday tales, on their way to meet the famous reindeer himself.

Everyone needs a little Christmas, and the new holiday musical review We Need A Little Christmas delivers in a big way! Featuring talented live singers and dancers – along with their buddies Rudolph and Frosty the Snowman -- this upbeat stage show brims with holiday singing and dancing guaranteed to put each visitor into the Christmas spirit. The audience is encouraged to sing along with holiday favorites such as “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and “Jingle Bell Rock.”
